We launch our natural history archives with a brochure from the Oregon Department of Transportation outlining the geological resources available in our state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldcat.org\/title\/oregon-rocks-fossils-minerals-where-to-find-them\/oclc\/48433414\">OCLC Worldcat<\/a>\u00a0estimates that this document originated around 1971.This brochure names <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Thomas_Condon\">Thomas Condon<\/a> as the &#8220;father of geology&#8221; of the state of Oregon.
